Wings set out on this short European tour to promote their new album "Wings at the Speed of Sound" and to prepare for their upcoming "Wings Over America" tour. Besides the two shows in Copenhagen, the tour included gigs in Berlin, Rotterdam and Paris.
Tickets went on sale on March 1st, and the concert sold out immediately. Already on March 2nd it was announced that there would be an extra concert. It also sold out quickly.
It’s uncertain whether the entire band took the same flight, but Paul and Linda arrived on SAS flight SK504 on March 19th, late in the evening. They were accommodated at the Palace Hotel.
According to the newspapers, Paul had requested privacy during their stay in Copenhagen, therefore not much is known about their stay. However, we do know that there was time for a sightseeing on March 20, where they visited The Amalienborg castle, The Little Mermaid, and the statue of Hans Christian Andersen. Furthermore, the McCartney family was spotted in an antique shop in North Zealand.
The McCartney family left Copenhagen and took a late flight bound for Berlin on March 22nd.

'25 Minutes with McCartney' was broadcast on TV a few days after the concert, and contains an interview, conducted after the 1st show.
I have been to many concerts, but this one has made a huge impact on me. I went to the second concert, since I didn't get a ticket to the first one. Expectations were high, and I learned from a friend who saw the first concert that the show was absolutely amazing. And I was not disappointed. They performed the songs with a rock-like expression that went beyond the sound on their records, and they showed great energy. Both suited the songs well. And this was a Wings concert, not a McCartney solo :-). Each member of the band had their moment in the spotlight. After the concert, many of us waited at the side entrance, hoping for autographs, but we weren't allowed to get close, so we only got a 'Hi guys!' from McCartney as he was getting into the car.
