The club was founded on April 17th, 1964, by 14-year-old Gunnar Gamborg, with an address in Aarhus, under the name 'The Beatles fan-club of Aarhus'. The idea arose from a school magazine at the Rosenvangsskolen, which Gunnar published. The first magazine was simply titled 'The Beatles', and cost 0.50 Danish kroner in membership. The club quickly gained around 50 members, primarily from the school. The club sold Beatles ballpens at a price of 2.75 Danish kroner, as well as photos, and it was possible, through the club, to get a discount on records at Fredgaard Radio in Aarhus.
In June, after the Beatles concerts in the K.B. Hallen, contact was established with the fan club in Copenhagen.
In July 1964 there were 62 members from the Rosenvangsskolen, and additional 20 from other parts of the Aarhus area. In the local Fredgaard store, there were advertisements for more members.
Annual subscription in August 1964 was 5 Danish kroner (6 kroner if the magazine was to be delivered by post), and it now contained advertisements from the Fredgaard Radio store. The magazine title was now ’Yeah’.
In September 1964, the number of members was around 200. Henrik Stjernholm and Ina Riber joined the editorial team. In November 1964, the club's name was changed to 'The Official Danish Beatles Fan-club'. Ina Rieber left the editorial team after a short time, and was replaced by 15-year-old Bodil Dam Jensen. The magazine was also sent to the Beatles fan club in Fredericia. The Fredericia-club ceased to exist in March 1965, and all members were transferred to the fan club in Copenhagen.
In February 1965 the name of the magazine was changed to ‘The Beatles Fan Club’. In the summer of 1965 the membership fee increased to 8 Danish kroner per year, and Henrik Stjernholm resigned from the editorial board. Gunnar Gamborg was given the title of president, and Bodil Dam Jensen became secretary.
At the end of January 1966, the club merged with the fan club in Copenhagen, and continued with unchanged name and management.
